Students will use the references provided to learn about different types of weather. The class will be divided into groups of 4. Each group will focus on a different weather condition. The group needs to share the work equally. After students gather information they will give a brief introduction of the material. We will have a class disscussion about what we have learned.
The students will also learn about their own local weather or city of their choice and study the weather pattern for 5 days. The students will track the weather using a website provided. We will complete this assignment by having a group discussion and comparing to our own local weather.
We will use all the information we have learned today to create "our own weather book". Each student will create their own weather book.
